Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed gave a presentation in the Second International Conference on Corporate Women Leadership held in Dhaka in March 2012.

 

Earlier this Conference was inaugurated by the Commerce Minister of the Govt. of Republic of Bangladesh. His presentation covered Divine guidance for Role of Women in Business, Besides he also gave a lucid review of Top 50 Women in Global Business as reported by Fortune magazine of 2011.

 

After the presentation, there was interactive session where several questions were asked and positive response was delivered.

  On the invitation of COMSATS University, Islamabad, Prof Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed, Principal, Hailey College of Banking & Finance, University of the Punjab, Lahore. delivered a presentation on: "Career Counseling and Scope of MBAs and BBAs in Pakistan".
  The program was organized by Centre for Counseling and Career Development of the aforesaid University in November 2011. Text of the multi-media presentation is enclosed. (Annex - "A"). He explained various careers available for young business graduates covering, self-employment, job placement, study abroad at home and going abroad for study. The session was well attended for over two hundred students which was highly interactive and all inquisitive questions were asked which were well replied by the Speaker.
  Prof. Riffat Abbas Rizvi, Project Director of the above Centre organized this program in Islamabad. Services of Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed are always to inspire the younger generation for service to the business community as quality products
   
  Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed, Principal, Hailey College of Banking & Finance, University of the Punjab, Lahore served as winding up Chief  Guest in the National Seminar on the Theme of: "Ten Commandments for Business Failure". This was organized by Lahore Insurance Institute (LlI) and held on the premises of the above College on November 23, 2011. This was attended by Captains of industry from the Insurance Sector. Two Speakers explained salient features of the above Ten Commandments based on book entitled: "Ten Commandments For Business Failure", authored by Donald R. Kaeough, Former President of Coca-Cola Company, USA.
  Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed presented an overview of the Insurance Industry (Annex - "A"). Later, he identified internal objectives (Profitability, Growth, Productivity, Leadership and Market Penetration) and external objectives environment and customers delights. As against the above Ten Commandments for Business Failure, he presented Ten Commandments for Business Success.
  The above program is one which was started after the assumption of Mr. Muhammad Ikram, President of Lahore Insurance Institute. Earlier, the seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Qamber Hamid, Managing Director of EFU General Assurance Limited.   Prof. Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed, Principal, Hailey College of Banking & Finance, University of the Punjab, gave a presentation on KSE: Listed Financial Sector Performance in Pakistan in the International Conference organized by Institute of Cost Management Accountants of Pakistan, Karachi on the theme of Corporate Finance & Economic Challenges on April 09, 2011 in Karachi, Forty two scholars from SAARC Countries (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal). Alongwith over 300 participants from Pakistan participated in it. Approaches for alleviating poverty, promotion of entrepreneurial spirit, job creation and innovative role of finance sector were highlighted. It was stressed that the financial institutions must do prudent banking and keeps the level of non-performing loans to zero limits strengthening the bottom line and minimize the probabilities of losses. Accordingly, a meaningful role of financial institutions will emerge for spreading prosperity across the board and help tackle the current economic challenges facing Pakistan.    A multimedia presentation was given with interactive session. A copy of the transcript is now available on the website. The presentation was instrumental in stimulating the future business executives in the subject of Auditing for study at home and abroad in USA (Institute of Internal Auditors, Florida) and UK. In the seminar recommendations were given by the speaker that, besides four existing pillars of State namely, Parliament, Judiciary Executive and Press, Auditing be recognized as the fifth pillar. The government of Pakistan was urged to give statutory recognition to Internal Audit through special legislation, introduce forensic audit in the office of Auditor General of Pakistan as an instrument of anti-corruption and putting moral check on manipulators and curb financial mafractrices in public exchequer in government office and in publically owned enterprises. This will add strengthen to sound financial management, reduce financial risk and optimize use of financial resources as a first step to financial sovereignty of Pakistan.

  1) The number for which appointments were to be made be stated in the minutes.
  2)When a contract job is proposed to be offered, specific suggestion regarding terms
and conditions governing contract service be stated with an inbuilt clause to increase the fixed offered salary as and when the Federal Government will announce any increase on annual basis during Budget announcement

   1 - He presented a Keynote Address in the 9th International Conference on Human Resources Management and Development on August 04, 2010 in the aforesaid Conference organized by Rapport Bangladesh Limited, Management Consultants and Trainers serving in Dhaka (Bangladesh) for the last four decades.
